Born in 1942 in Chatou, France, the birthplace of the Impressionists,
Jean-Pierre Daubin has fixed on his paintings the light so unique to
the Normandy sky. He has achieved the utmost delicacy, with his
finely detailed style, in his flower compositions, childlike-women
or lush seascapes. The tone has been set: poetry, romanticism,
delicacy, and subtle interpretations. As Jean-Pierre Daubin points
out, "Before being understood, a work of art must be felt."
