Born in Paris in 1955, Annie Puybareau soon showed a pronounced gift for drawing. At the age of 20 she enrolled at Rouen's Fine Arts College in Robert Savary's (Grand Prix de Rome) classes. She subsequently encountered Abert Malet, with whom she developed her skills in capturing varying weather conditions, thus following the footsteps of Normandy Impressionist painters. She is a member of the  Salon des Artists Francais in Paris, and her career has been punctuated by numerous prizes and exhibitions throughout Europe. Her works have been acquired by city councils, banks, and other important groups. She has been awarded an Arts, Sciences and Letters silver medal. Annie has also been teaching painting to pupils since 1989. Annie expresses herself passionately through her fluid brush strokes, adapting them to different themes. Her sensitivity can be seen in the gentle play of light and dark. Whether it be country scenes, still life, or characters, both her drawing and colors denote great ease and skill.
