Clive Madgwick was born in London in 1934 and educated at Epsom College
and London University. Clive began painting in 1972 and has progressed
from landscapes to genre, figure and sporting scenes. Living and working
in rural Suffolk and surrounded by beautiful countryside has led to
focusing upon landscape painting. Love of France and Italy has enlarged
his liking for atmospheric topographical work. One of his paintings,
Buckingham Palace from St. James Park, hangs at Windsor castle in the
private collection of The Queen of England.
