Daniel Girault
When Girault learned to paint in his early childhood, he never thought
he would one day live from it. He thought this aesthetic passion would
nourish his spiritual, not his material ambitions. After many years of
hesitating, calling into questioning, and testing he at last decided
definitively to establish himself in the studio and admit that painting
is a lifetime choice. Since then he has worked increasingly to plow his
furrow, to develop his style, to perfect his stroke and to explore his
surroundings, Self-taught, his only option (and what an option), he was
forced to enter deeply into himself. He emerged from this internal
sojourn with love for Province and for sun life France. From the deepest
part of Brittany, he sang nostalgically of the colors and the lights of
the South of France. In addition to his passion for painting, Daniel
Girault looks after handicapped children... Far from reflecting this
problem and painful world, his paintings on the contrary, express a
great discipline in construction, a consistent whole and properly
balanced composition.
