David Chandler was born in Arizona and spent his childhood
surrounded by the colorful landscape of the desert. At a young age, the
beauty of nature fascinated Chandler and kindled his desire to create.
Throughout his study of art history, Chandler was introduced to a
diversity of artistic styles, but found inspiration most in the art of
the impressionist movement. Influenced by the artists Monet and Manet, Chandler uses broad
strokes, capturing light and movement in his paintings.
Whether rendering the quietude of a Tuscan vineyard, the warmth of
an interior setting, or the brilliance of a flower garden, Chandler
captures in his paintings a sense of classic timelessness and beauty
while retaining a distinctively modern style and palette.
