Gerard Valtier takes up the challenge of reviving of Impressionist painting by mingling his intense emotional states with his unequaled optimism. He has been an artist for over thirty years now. When he was 12 years old, Gerard Valtier entered the Beaux Arts and since then his discipline and practice have continued to produce paintings. They now decorated the most famous collections of the United States, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and more.  Valtier's growing success promises a future reserved for very few painters. 1996 was a particularily rewarding year with nine exhibitions including Genolier, Switzerland, and Florence, Italy. Exceptional recognition kept coming in homage to his work. He is published in the Who's Who of Switzerland. In addition, in the DALI Museum of St. Petersburg, Florida, he is featured on the cover alongside the likes of PICASSO, RENOIR, MONET, CHAGALL etc. His work vibrates, as he is the uncontested master of mobility and transparency, his painting is optimism at its highest point,  "We have just abolished moroseness,"  he say. Still, though, Valtier claims that his large canvases can just barely contain the energy and emotion he wishes to convey!
