Michel Mechkour was born in Paris in 1941 and attended the Art School of Barbizon. He has a very impressive career. His eclectic approach led him to venture from figurative to abstract and from abstract back to figurative. Mechkour's world is full of poetry: gardens, train stations, parks and rivers. He particularly likes themes that remind him of the Edwardian Era. Evoking that "Joie de Vivre" (Joy of Living) happiness and the carefree spirit of that period.  Mechkour is a remarkable colorist. Tthe color is as important as the composition. He loves blues, yellows, reds; vivid colors. He tends to stay away from black and white. He is a member of the National Federation of French Culture, Academica Intern. "Greci-Marino, and the International Academy of Modern Art.
